IOF/TSO Release 7D Fixes Last updated: Thursday, 22-Jul-2021 11:37:42 EDT

The first group of fixes below should be applied to all IOF/TSO Release 7D systems. The second group of fixes can be applied if you experience the described problem. If you have a problem that is not listed here, contact IOF Technical Support.

T7D1187 20Mar2001	Abend 0C4 on the "L" command when operating in z/OS 64 bit mode.
T7D1184 18Jan2001	In at least one instance a CSA memory overlay has been observed when a customer installed a new version of JES2 and failed to re-generate IOF for the new JES2. IOF normally provides an error message when JES2 mismatches occur, but in this case there was a JES2 control block change that could not be detected by IOF. This fix prevents the CSA overlay even if the customer fails to re-generate IOF for the new JES2 release. Note: This fix replaces fixes/7d/T7D1160 and should be applied whether or not T7D1160 was previously applied.
U7D1006 22Jan1998	Several problems have been found in the VFIX Rexx execs that are used to apply IOF updates. This fix should be applied before applying any other fixes to the IOF CLIST, SOURCE, ISPPLIB, OPTIONS, ISPMLIB, HELP or INSTALL libraries.
T7D1131 24June1999	THIS IS A HIGH PRIORITY FIX FOR SITES USING SLAMARCH to archive old SYSLOG or OPERLOG data. The SLAMARCH clist builds an invalid archive data set name after the year 2000 if HCFORMAT(CENTURY) is in effect (4 digit year in SYSLOG/OPERLOG).
T7D1117 19Mar1999	THIS IS A SUPER HIGH PRIORITY FIX FOR SITES USING JARDEL to delete old job archival (JAR) directories and data sets. The JARDEL clist can delete the wrong offload and directory data sets.
T7D1035 2Apr1998	Users who are allowed to modify jobs and output groups are able to modify all operands, regardless of what level of access should be required for the operand. This presents a possible security exposure.
T7D1093 20Nov1998	Access to modify a job, group or data set may be permitted in error. This presents a possible security exposure.

U7D1165 26Sept2000	Required maintenance to make IOF/7E compatible with OS/390 2.10. This maintenance can be applied prior to converting to 2.10.
U7D1148 12Dec1999	IOF Status field, "STAT", displays U*** even when the user abend code is less than 1000 after applying fix 1139. 1139 is in error. NOTE: This fix requires fix U7D1139 as a prerequisite.
U7D1139 12Dec1999	In OS/390 V2.4 and later systems, the abend code is displayed in the "IOF Job List Menu" STATUS field. User abends are displayed in hex instead of the customary decimal. This fix displays the user abends less than 1000 as Unnn, otherwise it displays U*** in the STATUS field. NOTE: This fix supersedes fix U7D1041.
T7D1135 9July1999	The "L ARCH" command displays a menu of archived SYSLOG and OPERLOG data sets sorted with the most recent data set at the top of the list. The sort order is incorrect when archived logs for 1999 are displayed with archived logs for 2000.
U7D0824 16Apr1999	This fix is required for OS/390 2.7 and later and also anytime R3.0 of the the high level assembler (HLASM) is being used. The JESCTL step of M13GEN will get assembly errors if R3.0 of the HLASM is being used.
T7D1116 19Mar1999	Add the ability for IOFWTR to include a 4 digit year in data set names that it dynamically creates to contain output data.
T7D1089 7Jan1999	An ABENDS002-18 with message IEC036I can occur if the SAVE command is issued while EDITing an ASA carriage control data set if at least 1 record contains only a blank as the carriage control.
T7D1071 29Dec1998	At OS/390 V2.4 or higher, incorrect data can appear in the "STAT" and "JOB RESULT" fields of the "IOF Job List Menu" and the "IOF Output Group Display" until the JES2 $ACTIVATE command is issued or until a JES2 COLD start.
T7D1049 29Dec1998	The SLAMOPER task may loop on the NEWDAY condition if log records are written out of time sequence.
T7D1099 23Nov1998	The "<" command does not properly process < F task,'a b c'.
U7D0821 8Oct1998	At OS/390 V2.4 or higher, the "R" command on the "IOF Job List Menu" can affect all data sets of the job, not just HELD data sets.
U7D1051 20Nov1998	The Output Group Display status field values of JOB, OPR, SYS, and BSY have an invalid extra character appended. For example, the value JOBO will be displayed instead of JOB.
T7D1088 20Nov1998	The IOFWTR HEADER parm can not be nullified by specifying HEADER() as documented.
T7D1085 29Sep1998	The JARDJOIN clist gets "INVALID DATA SET NAME" error trying to allocate the Directory Data Set (DIRDSN) because the JDATE IOF variable has changed to contain a 4 digit year and separator.
T7D1083 9Sep1998	Editing a RECFM V data set can result in abends in the SAVE, REPLACE and CREATE commands. This fix replaces fix fixes/7d/T7D1070.
T7D1079 4Sep1998	The RC command does not analyze jobs on the Output Queue.
T7D0818 4Aug1998	When running under OS/390 2.4 or higher, no initiators will be displayed if a subset of initiators is requested. For example "INIT 5-8" will not display initiators 5 through 8 as requested.
T7D1055 7Jul1998	ABENDS0Cx when an IOF user issues the ARRANGE command on an IOF Option menu with the cursor somewhere other than the COMMAND line.
T7D1054 26Jun1998	When IOF browses the OPERLOG log stream and receives warnings from System Logger Services indicating that log data is missing, IOF reports this to the user as an IOF error, and the command is terminated.
T7D1046 12May1998	The AT command will occasionally return with "Receive Data" error, especially on the second use of a server session. This fix should be applied on all systems that are running an IOF server.
T7D1044 11May1998	When one or more sections are excluded from an IOF panel, the ARRANGE command may refer to fields in an excluded section.
T7D1043 28May1998	The AT line command gets "SYSTEM NAME" error. This fix should be applied on all systems running an IOF server.
U7D1041 29Apr1998	In OS/390 2.4 and later systems, the abend code is displayed in the Job List Menu STATUS field. User abends are displayed in hex instead of the customary decimal.
T7D1034 2Apr1998	CUT, PASTE or ARRANGE command format changes are saved in the same profile variable for all sections, so that only the last change is saved.
T7D1031 10Mar1998	The AC2UID parm (ACF2 User Id String) is ignored on the IOF GROUP, ALLOW and LIMIT macros in the B23ALLOW option. AC2UIDL, XAC2UID and XAC2UIDL parms are also ignored.
T7D1013 3Feb1998	The IOFWTR clist displays only the first 2 digits of the year in the REPORT file, and the report headers do not line up.
T7D1012 3Feb1998	The OUTQUE clist gets error IKJ54545I "This statement has an expression with character data item used numerically" when a generic jobname is specified as an input parm and the SCOPE parm is not specified. Also, the REPORT data set lists only the first two digits of the 4 digit year.
U7D1007 22Jan1998	The UPLOAD command fails with error code 3728 or 3729 when either the Year 2000 license patch is installed or IOF is running in License error mode.
T7D1008 22Jan1998	The JAROPEN clist gets "INVALID DATA SET NAME" error trying to allocate the Directory Data Set (DIRDSN) because the JDATE IOF variable has changed to contain a 4 digit year. Also, JAROFFLD builds a bad directory entry because a space has been inserted in the date field.
U7D1001 5Jan1998	The "ALL" response on the Cancel Confirmation Panel is ignored.
