Description What information is displayed in the STATUS field on the Job List Menu and the Output Group Display.
 
Answer The STATUS field appears on the first, non-scrollable screen on the Job List Menu and the Output Group Display. This position makes the field valuable for displaying lots of different types of information.

The information displayed is hierarchal. When multiple status definitions apply, the most important status is displayed.

 --STATUS--Description-------------------------------------------
   CAN     Job was cancelled (Job List Menu only)
   DUP     Job is held for duplicate jobname (Job List Menu only)
   JOB     Job is held by TYPRUN=HOLD or $HJ command
   ALL     All jobs in the system are held by a $HA command
   ARME    Input or running job is defined to Automatic Restart
             Manager (Fix U7H2046 or U7G2046 applied if 7H)
   ARMR    Input or running job is awaiting ARM Restart
             (Fix U7H2046 or U7G2046 applied if 7H)
   OPR     Group is held by the operator (Output Group Display only)
   SYS     Group is held by the system.  The HOLDRSN field describes
             why the group is held.  (Output Group Display only)
   BSY     Group is busy on a device.  The busy device name is
             displayed in the DESTDEV field. (Output Group display only)

Abend and return codes. When one of the conditions below is displayed, the JOB RESULT field may contain additional information about the code.

SEC Security error, bad password. JCL JCL error, job was not run. Sccc System abend code 'ccc'. Unnn User abend code nnn, for user abends less than 1000. U*** User abend codes 1000 or greater. nnnn One to 4 digit numeric return code from the job step that had the highest non-zero return code. blank None of the conditions above apply. Jobs on the output queue have zero return code from all job steps.
