Common Technical Question
Question T03
Previous Next
Description How do I determine which IOF fixes have been applied?

Answer The LISTFIX command is available in release 8B and later releases. LISTFIX must be issued on the IOF Option Menu. LISTFIX shows only fixes that have been applied.

Answer Use the IOF maintenance dialog to see the status of IOF fixes. Select option"1" (receive or apply fixes), then option "A" (apply fixes). This causes a menu of all available fixes to be displayed. If the fix in question does not appear on the menu, that fix has not yet been "received". If the fix does appear, the status field shows whether it is in "receive" status or if it has been "applied".

If the fix has been "received" but not "applied", it can be selected from this menu to be applied immediately.

Note that optional fixes are not normally displayed on the list of available fixes. To display optional fixes, enter the "OPT" command. The display will swap to a display of optional fixes. Entering "OPT" again swaps the display back to normal fixes.

To run the maintenance dialog:

From IOF/TSO:
Enter the "MAINT" on the IOF Option Menu.

From IOF/CICS, or if IOF/TSO will not run:

From ISPF Option 6, enter:
EX 'iof.ioft8a0.INSTALL(VFIX)'

(specify the fully qualified data set name of your IOF INSTALL data set)
