  Installation and Generation Problems
A01 The IOF expiration date patch does not extend the expiration date. Invoking IOF continues to get the "EXPIRING" or "EXPIRED" message after applying the new expiration patch.
A02 M13GEN or M18NEWOP IOF Installation job gets assembly errors.
A03 On initial entry, IOF terminates with a "subsystem down" error message.
A04 On initial entry, IOF terminates with error message "Incorrect JESCTL Assembly - SA"
A05 IOF gets "Expired" error after applying the new expiration patch. It was running OK or with an "expiring" error message before applying the new patch.
A06 When executing the IOF MPI file, the GUMUNPCK program gets return code 8 and the install fails.
A07 The MAINT command RECEIVE function fails with return code 8 from UNTERSE program.
A08 The MAINT command RECEIVE function fails with IKJ56893I DATA SET NOT ALLOCATED error message.
  Execution Errors and Abends
B01 System abend Fxx. SVC xx not found.
B02 System abend 16D. ESR number not found.
B03 System abend 0Cx. (0C1, 0C4, etc).
B04 System abend 500
  IOF Command and Function Errors
C01 The EVERY command does not work for some users.
C02 "CLIST NOT FND" error message from an IOF command.
C03 The "LOG" command (abbreviated "L") gets "Wrong job" error. The long error message is "Index data set found is not for this job".
C04 Error message "Partial List" returned when attempting to display a long list of jobs, groups or devices. The long error message returned by pressing PF1 (HELP) is "Only partial job list returned due to memory constraints"
C05 Error message "Memory" returned when attempting to display a long list of jobs, groups or devices. The long error message returned by pressing PF1 (HELP) is "Insufficient memory to perform requested function".
C06 The "DAY TIME" field on the Job List Menu is sometimes inaccurate.
C07 The SELECT command on the IOF Job List Menu or Output Group Display is occasionally very slow, especially for a very large job.
C08 The I/O field on the Job List Menu for running jobs is always blank.
C09 Release 8 IOF Option Menu does not display some options
C10 Release 8 Users are REFUSED when they select the ENC or PS options
C11 After converting to z/OS V1R8, some data sets do not appear on the Job Summary. This problem also occurs on earlier z/OS releases when the PTFs for APARs OA10621 and OA14292 have been applied.
  Batch TSO Clist and Rexx Exec Errors
D01 Clist or Rexx exec terminates with an error message. (SLAMRUN, SLAMMEMO, SLAMARCH, SLAMOPER, OUTQUE, IOFWTR, IOFCLNDX, JAROPEN, JAROFFLD, JARCLOSE or locally written clists or commands).
D02 A batch clist or Rexx exec terminates with a "REFUSED" error. (SLAM, JAR, IOFWTR, OUTQUE, IOFLISTG, or local execs and clists)
  AT Command Problems
E01 The AT command (or the SERVER command) is REFUSED.
E02 IOF commands or functions are REFUSED on the IOF server.
E03 The "AT" command gets an "ALLOCATE" or other initiation error attempting to start an APPC session on a remote CPU.
  IOF Audit Problems
F01 Download batch FTP job gets error "EDC8128I Connection refused".
F02 SYSEXEC read error when running the audit MPI exec.
  IOF 7J Changes and Installation Problems
G01 SORT does not work in 7J
  Common IOF Questions
R01 The IOF Job List Menu for RUNNING JOBS has a field titled WHY. The name of this field is REASON. This field contains a 3 character abbreviation for WHY a running task is SWAPPED OUT. The SWR (SWAPRSN) field on the IOF System Monitor contains identical information. What do the abbreviations mean?
R02 The IOF Output Group Display has a HOLDRSN field that describes why a group in being HELD by the SYSTEM. What are the meanings of the hold reason abbreviations?
R03 What information is displayed in the STATUS field on the Job List Menu and the Output Group Display.
R04 How do I determine when my IOF expiration password will expire?
R05 What does return code 10577 mean?
R06 Scrolling to the left and right on the Job List Menu and Output Group Display seems erratic at times. Sometimes "RIGHT 10" does nothing, even though there are additional columns to the right.
